The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, on Tuesday the 28th of January 2020, inaugurated the governing board of the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) with a charge to achieve the overall objective for the establishment of the institute, which is, making a difference and contributing to the security and stability of Nigeria. The inaguration follows the appointment of A.A. Gadzama as the Chairman by President Muhammadu Buhari. The Governing Board has 7 other members; Sanusi Galadima, Dr. Amina Shamaki, F.A. Adekaiyaoja, Kio S. Aimeyeofori, Maj. Gen. B.M. Shafa, A.S. Adeleke (Commandant of the institute) and Nuhu Umar.

Participants of EIMC 12 kicked off their study tour with a visit to Niger, Ekiti, Jigawa and Ebonyi States. During the tour, they visited strategic institutions and places within the States. The tour is designed to enable course participants appreciate the enormous developmental challenges in the country and proffer implementable solutions. Click here to view images from the study tour.
