The Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) is designed to provide strategic level security/intelligence officers, as well as top level management with the requisite skills to handle their positions and contribute positively in the implementation of national security policies and national development. Admission into the Executive Intelligence Management Course is strictly by nomination, with nominated participants fully sponsored by their respective organizations. Participants of the course are drawn from the military, paramilitary, law enforcement, intelligence agencies, regulatory agencies and other strategic Government institutions and agencies.
PARTICIPATION
Participants of the course are required to have acquired considerable practical operational experience to enable them contribute effectively to plenary discussions. To this end, they are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Must have attended formal University education with a Bachelors degree or its equivalent.
- Participants from Nigeria Police Force and other Services must have attained the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police or its equivalent, and must be of proven integrity.
DURATION OF EIMC
The Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) lasts for 10 months. The Course which is fully residential and accommodates participants on the premises of the Institute. Each Participant is provided with tastefully furnished accommodation comprising of an en-suite bedroom with a kitchenette.

In order to meet prevailing security challenges by broadening the scope of the Participants in tandem with global trends, the course has been structured under the following modules:

IV. General Studies (National Sub regional, Regional and International)
V. Â Research Methodology
VI. Conflict and Peace building
LOCAL, REGIONAL/FOREIGN TOURS
Participants of the course would also embark on study tours of selected States; strategic institutions and places within the country to enable them appreciate the enormous developmental challenges in the country and proffer implementable solutions. They would also undertake a tour of some selected countries to gain better insight into the developmental and security challenges facing the international community.
AWARD OF FELLOWSHIP
Upon successful completion of the Executive Intelligence Management Course, participants are inducted, and awarded with the designation; Fellow of the Security Institute (fsi).
Furthermore, the Institute is affiliated to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. Upon graduation, Participants who meet the criteria and are interested in furthering their studies may proceed to the University for a period of 3 months, to acquire a Masters degree in Peace and Security Studies.
