Augustine Ikelegbe is a professor of Comparative Politics and Public Policy at the University of Benin, with interests in Governance, Security, Conflict and Peace Studies. He has researched and consulted extensively in these areas for numerous national and international organisations. As a seasoned academic, he has been External Examiner or Assessor for over fifteen universities in Nigeria and other countries. He has teaching and research experiences both within and outside Nigeria, including Fellowships at Wolverhampton and Leiden.
